Support Hosiery Measuring Instructions

Proper sizing is very important both for comfort and to insure maximum therapeutic benefit from your compression hosiery. Measurement of the leg should be made when swelling is minimal - usually in early morning. Those with severe Edema may need to be refitted following permanent reduction of swelling.

When your Support Hosiery requires measurements to be taken, this guide will help you. Please note, some hosiery styles follow Height and Weight Charts and will be indicated for that particular item while ordering.

			Step 1 Ankle Measurement Measure the ankle circumference at the narrowest part of the ankle, above the ankle-bone. Note: This must always be your first measurement.
			Step 2 Calf Measurement Measure the calf circumference at the fullest part of the calf.
			Step 3 Calf Length For determining the calf length, measure from the heel to the bend of the knee. This measurement is taken on the outside of the calf.
			Step 4 Thigh Measurement Measure the thigh at the groin. This is the fullest part of your thigh.
			Step 5 Thigh Length Determine the thigh length by measuring from the heel to the gluteal fold.
